Peptide T is a ligand for the CD4 receptor and prevents binding of HIV to the CD4 receptor.Peptide T acetate is an HIV entry inhibitor from the V2 region of HIV-1 gp120 that acts by blocking chemokine-5 receptors (CCR5), currently under clinical trials for the treatment of HIV-related neurological and constitutional symptoms.
