Description :
GF-βNA (GPN), standard substrate for assays of dipeptidyl aminopeptidase I (cathepsin C). GPN causes osmotic permeabilization of lysosomes due to intralysosomal hydrolysis by cathepsin C.Glycyl-L-phenylalanine 2-naphthylamide is a cathepsin C substrate. Studies report that Glycyl-L-phenylalanine 2-naphthylamide significantly inhibits the activation of caspase-8. Glycyl-L-phenylalanine 2-naphthylamide has been used to study recombinant cathepsin C.
