Description :
BINP was originally isolated from rat brains which had experienced trauma. This small 13-mer peptide promoted neuronal survival of septal cholinergic neurons and mesencephalic dopaminergic neurons in primary cultures from neonatal rats. Furthermore, it rescued neurons from injury caused by glutamate.
