Description :
Bradykinin is an active peptide that is generated by the kallikrein-kinin system. It is a inflammatory mediator and also recognized as a neuromediator and regulator of several vascular and renal functions.This peptide is an inhibitor for Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme (ACE I), derived from Bradykinin. ACE I partially suppresses the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), which regulates blood pressure and may mediate hypertension. ACE I converts angiotensin I to the biologically active peptide angiotensin II using a zinc- and chloride- dependent mechanism.
