Scrambled 10Panx (Panx-1 mimetic inhibitory peptide) is a blocker of pannexin-1 gap junction.Scrambled 10Panx is a rearranged form of 10Panx (WRQAAFVDSY) that inhibits dye uptake by macrophages without affecting cell membrane currents. 10Panx is a mimetic peptide of pannexin 1. 10Panx is structurally similar to the polypeptide PanxE1B, three amino acids less than PanxE1B, and has an inhibitory effect on pannexin1 current in oocytes, and the effect is similar to that of PanxE1b. 10Panx is also able to block I2nd activation, reduce bradykinin-induced [Ca2+]i, and attenuate ATP release from bradykinin-induced quinacrine-treated human fibroblasts.
